Starbucks, the renowned US coffee chain, has expanded its presence in India, proudly inaugurating a new drive-through store in Himachal Pradesh. The latest addition, situated on the scenic Shimla-Dharampur highway, marks a significant milestone for the brand in the region.

This new Starbucks outlet operates 24/7 and is the brand's seventh drive-through in India. The inaugural drive-through store of the chain was opened in 2020 in Zirakpur, Punjab, located on the Ambala Chandigarh Expressway.
Shantanu Karekar, Senior Manager at Tata Starbucks, also took to social media to highlight the significance of the new store. He emphasized that the drive-through is more than just a convenience; it symbolizes the blend of progress and tradition that characterizes India's dynamic spirit.
In India, Starbucks operates under a 50:50 joint venture between Seattle-based Starbucks Coffee Co. and Tata Consumer Products Ltd. Since its entry in 2012, Tata Starbucks has successfully launched over 390 stores across 54 cities in India, employing around 4,300 people. The company has set an ambitious goal of expanding to 1,000 stores in the country by 2028, which would entail opening a new store approximately every three days.
