In a significant development for skill enhancement in Gujarat, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCB), a leading FMCG company in India, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with Kaushalya University. This partnership aims to train 5,000 individuals through an extensive Sales & Marketing program, focusing on several villages across the Ahmedabad and Kheda Districts. The announcement of this collaboration was made in the presence of notable government and educational figures.

The training program, designed to include a diverse group of participants, including recent graduates, current students, and college dropouts aged 18 and above, is structured over three months. It encompasses a 30-hour curriculum, blending 6 hours of direct interaction and 24 hours of online sessions, thereby offering an immersive learning experience.

HCCB's role in this initiative is multifaceted. It encompasses conducting orientation and awareness sessions, providing electronic program materials, overseeing training sessions, and facilitating industry interactions. The company is committed to ensuring these educational resources are accessible at no cost to participants. On the other hand, Kaushalya University will play a critical role in introducing learners to the program and ensuring the availability of necessary infrastructure and support for its smooth execution.

Alongside the educational initiative, HCCB also unveiled several community development projects in 11 villages of the mentioned districts. These projects are aimed at improving access to clean drinking water, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, establishing Nagrik Seva Kendras (NSK), and enhancing healthcare and educational infrastructure.

Shri Balvantsinh Rajput, the Cabinet Minister of Industries, Rural Development, Labour and Employment in the Government of Gujarat, highlighted the collaboration as a step towards creating a consistent flow of skilled graduates, ready for diverse corporate roles. He expressed gratitude towards HCCB for their support in making Gujarat a hub of professional expertise.

Dr. Anju Sharma, IAS and Director General of Kaushalya University, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in empowering youth with future-ready skills. She pointed out that this partnership extends beyond mere training; it's about creating a skilled workforce for sustainable growth in Gujarat and beyond.

Mr. Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Officer at HCCB, underscored the company's commitment to reducing gender disparity in financial and digital literacy. He stressed that HCCB's community development projects are a testament to its dedication to fostering holistic development in the communities they serve.

This initiative marks a significant step in bridging the skill gap in the Indian workforce, particularly in the rapidly growing state of Gujarat, and sets a precedent for future public-private partnerships in skill development.
