Phoenix mills enters Pimpri-chinchwad’s wakad area with mall of the millennium

The Phoenix Mills (PML) has unveiled its latest architectural marvel, the “Phoenix Mall of the Millennium,” as its second retail endeavor in Pune. Situated in Wakad, this sprawling retail haven stretches across a vast 16 acres, boasting over 12 lakh sqft of gross leasable space.

The mall’s inception traces back to 2006 when PML began its transformative journey by procuring its maiden site in Viman Nagar, Pune. Phoenix MarketCity Pune, which commenced operations in 2011, soon became a linchpin in the company’s extensive portfolio. “Today, we’re thrilled to present Pune with another architectural gem, the Phoenix Mall of the Millennium in Wakad,” exclaimed Atul Ruia, Chairman of The Phoenix Mills.

Visitors to the mall can expect a visual treat with intricately designed atriums and open-concept dining spaces. The mall promises a diverse shopping experience, housing over 350 domestic and global brands. For movie aficionados, a state-of-the-art 14-screen cinema awaits.

Shishir Shrivastava, Managing Director at The Phoenix Mills, highlighted the mall’s alignment with the company’s ethos. “The Phoenix Mall of the Millennium embodies our commitment to crafting unparalleled city-center, retail-centric destinations. This architectural wonder spans over 12 lakh sqft of leasable space, and we’re concurrently developing a cutting-edge commercial office venue, anticipated to be operational in FY25, adding another 14 lakh sqft.”

The Mall of the Millennium is the result of PML’s collaborative venture with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments). Interestingly, this is their second joint venture, following the Phoenix Citadel Indore which began its operations in late 2022.
